‘DBS 59’ was specially commissioned through ‘Q by Aston Martin’ to commemorate 60 years since Aston Martin’s historic 1959 1-2 finish in the DBR-1 at Le Mans. Driven by Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori, where they took the chequered flag ahead of the sister car piloted by Maurice Trintignant and Paul Frère.
The DBS 59 is one of just 24 built—each representing an hour of the iconic race.
This particular car is number 22 of 24. The rear wing is adorned with a picture of the DBR 1, and the chassis number from the original DBR 1 is stamped on the bottom of the wing, adding unique and historic touches. The Aston Martin badge is silver plated and stamped, further enhancing its exclusivity. Inside, the headlining features a leather-printed picture of the original car, created by an artist, offering a visual homage to its heritage.
